This breakout session will explore the wonderful world of weaving charitable strategies into your business, offering a golden opportunity for business owners to make an impact on the Kingdom. Join us as we uncover how incorporating charitable intentions can not only enrich your community but also enliven your brand with a heartwarming glow, fostering customer loyalty and employee pride. Lisa and Elyse will share inspiring success stories and practical strategies that make giving back a joyous and seamless part of your business.
Lisa is a financial planner at Everence Financial in Mount Joy in central Pennsylvania. She offers comprehensive financial planning, retirement and life transition navigation, and investment management. Since joining Everence in 2008, Lisa has held several roles, including credit union branch manager and financial consultant. She is passionate about helping people live out their values in their finances.
Elyse has been a charitable consultant with the Everence Foundation for over four years. She joined Everence with more than 15 years of fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector and has a diverse background in understanding the needs of donors and organizations. Currently, she serves individuals, families, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and churches in central Pennsylvania in charitable giving through Everence Charitable Services.
The Lancaster City Tour will visit several locations of interest including Lancaster Central Market which is the oldest continuously running farmer’s market in America, Prince Street Café and Passenger Coffee Roaster, one of Landis Communities’ residential sites, and more. This tour will be led by Everence’s Bill Hartman who lives in Lancaster and loves where he lives!

In obedience to Christ’s command to love our neighbor and make disciples of all nations, HOPE International employs a holistic approach to ministry by providing discipleship opportunities, training, a safe place to save, and business loans for those in under-served communities. You are invited and encouraged to visit their headquarters and learn first-hand how HOPE International started, how they continue to invest in the dreams of families around the world, and how the gospel is proclaimed.
Visit the U.S. office of Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) in Lititz, Pennsylvania, to learn about their work in responding to disasters, rebuilding homes, and restoring hope by organizing and empowering volunteers in the U.S. and Canada. Organized tours of the office will highlight MDS’s work, including Storm Encounter, a mobile theatre that provides a multi-sensory disaster experience designed to give participants a small taste of what it’s like to experience a tornado firsthand.

The goal is not to answer questions, but rather to consider what questions are most important to you. Join Rick as he shares a template and strategy for moving forward in answering these questions.
Rick Griest is the director of the School of Business & Leadership at Rosedale Bible College, holding an MBA in Organizational Leadership. He uses his energy and experience to foster positive environments and promote growth in individuals and organizations through strategic planning. As a passionate follower of Jesus, he seeks to use his gifts to introduce others to Christ and disciple them.
