Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping operations running smoothly? Do you have knowledge of and passion for the MDS mission and vision? At MDS we are looking for a Warehouse and Equipment Coordinator to manage our warehouse in Columbus, MS, to maintain our inventory and ensure our equipment is ready for our projects. 

Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining the warehouse and content, identifying and facilitating maintenance and repairs for all vehicles, trailers, equipment, and tools. MCC is hiring the following:

  • HR Recruiter – The HR Recruiter will join the MCC U.S. HR Team in carrying out an organization-wide recruitment strategy, leading selection processes to fill MCC vacancies globally, and ensuring smooth onboarding. This position is responsible for translations between English and Spanish for the HR department. The HR Recruiter will also attend recruitment events on behalf of MCC as needed and provide backup support to HR colleagues during peak work times. Schedule for this position may include some irregular hours to meet with selection teams and interview candidates across time zones. Location can be at the office in Akron, PA or remote from a U.S. state where MCC is a registered employer. 
  • Humanitarian Advisor – The Humanitarian Advisor will complete the planning, monitoring and evaluation tasks for MCC partner organizations in Myanmar. They will be responsible to listen to the partners, develop strong relationships with partners and local people, write realistic plans based upon the partner’s capacity and vision, select tools and conduct the monitoring tasks, and organize the evaluations of the projects. The Advisor will also conduct ongoing training for local partner staff in completing all these tasks as well as connecting them with resources for trauma healing and peacebuilding.  They are responsible to ensure all internal documentation for MCC is complete in the MCC programming software. The Advisor will live in Cambodia and travel to Myanmar frequently. The Advisor is also responsible to fully participate in the security team for the Myanmar program.
  • Job Site Coordinator – The Appalachia Build Job Site Coordinator works under the supervision of the Site Manager to coordinate and implement projects for Appalachia Build Volunteers. MCC Appalachia Build focuses on housing repair for low-income individuals and families who do not qualify for other low-cost housing programs. The program brings in volunteers especially in the Summer. Some of the goals in addition to home repairs include faith-sharing, communication, and understanding between volunteers and local residents. This three-month assignment interacts with youth groups, youth sponsors, and clients as well as the rest of the team on location.
